An Huntlist allows calling a certain number of extensions or external numbers. It is called sometimes as "Ring group".
There are several types of Hunt Lists, based on the strategy used to place the calls.
- Ring All - All the extensions/numbers in the list are called at once. Beware, calling a large number of extensions all together, can put a bit of stress on your server.
- Cycle - Extensions and numbers are called one by one, in the order defined, until one answers. If the end of the list of numbers to call is reached, the PBX restarts calling from the start.
- Sequence - Extensions and numbers are called one by one, in the order defined, until one answers or the last number in the list is called.
- Ring All over Loop - All the extensions/numbers in the list are called at once.
